Snowdon 2015

Snowdon national park in wales is so beautiful green, lush and full of great walks. so of course we decided to pack up and headed to the mountains for a couple of days.

When we got there we throw up the tent as quick as we could and headed right back out to explore.

The campsite we stayed at is in a beautiful spot at the base of the mountains overlooking lake Llyn Gwynant.

After walking around the lake we really wanted to explore deeper so the next morning we put our waterproofs on and found a stunning walk following a river called Craflwyn.

The rain decided to join us as we got back to the tent so we got cosy cooked some dinner and got some sleep for our adventures tomorrow.

The next day was lovely, blue sky the lot and we really fancied going to a beach. So we picked one at random on the map and set off. We found the rather pretty seaside town of borth-y-gest.

Adam on a crab hunt.

A whole beach to ourselves, it was perfect.

The view of the snowdonia national park in the distance almost seemed painted it was so beautiful.

We wanted to explore the wilderness of snowdonia so we found a walk up into the mountains.

After taking in some rather incredible views we finally found the car and headed back to camp.

Waking up to this view, everyday please?

 Penrhyn castle

There was amazing and intricately carved stone on the stairs leading up all three flights opening out to vast corridors.

I think someone was hungry

Chapel with even more beautiful carvings

After a very clean and mud free morning we wanted to adventure in the wilderness again, on the drive down we read about a walk in an ancient woodland, who can pass up 'ancient woodland walk'?

boots and waterproofs

Waterfalls and the smell of fresh rain

We got back to the car just before the rain got a lot heavier (think a river from the sky).  We had a cup of tea and played some cards before heading back. Also giving us a chance to dry off a little

After a well earned nights rest we reluctantly packed up the tent which took longer than normal, something to do with all the stopping to look around.
We did not want to leave.

There will never be enough time to take in all the amazing views and explore all the vast places snowdonia has, we do have fun trying though.
